GamerMats, a specialty products and printing company in Elk Grove Village (20 minutes outside of Chicago), has an opening for an Associate Product Manager to participate in the creation of new products for the pop culture market from the idea stage to launch.. In this role, you will work closely with management, production and creative to assist with the process of product development, production, marketing and delivery. 

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): 

      • Help make the things!  We create cool items - you need to be able to help provide the initiative and support to help those items come to life - from creative to shipping. 
      • Assist management with research and projects while tracking and reporting on initiatives to ensure objectives are met. 
      • Communicate professionally with contractors, artists, manufacturers and other partners to negotiate and contract for assigned projects.
      • Keep track of the details! Every product needs support - you are the support team!

Bonus Points!

      • Experience in the pop culture or tabletop game market
      • 1-3 years of Product Management or Project Management experience in manufacturing environment
      • 1 year of Purchasing or Supply Chain-related experience
      • Superior communication (written and verbal) and problem solving skills 
      • The ability to effectively manage and work as part of a team while also working independently, and performing duties with little supervision
      • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage numerous projects simultaneously while always staying calm under pressure and meeting deadlines
      • Comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite, Corel or similar software
      • Ability to travel (up to 20%) and at times for extended periods (up to 2 weeks)

Location and Compensation

 

While this position can be hybrid, working in person with the team in the Chicago area is preferred and will often be required. Relocation assistance may be available. Compensation will vary based on experience. Expectation is in the $32,000 - $45,000 range based on experience.
