So... I have been running events for a long time. A long time. And never before has this happened.... While I was out for the holidays I received a message about the venue we had contracted the upcoming Pro Tour Qualifier and WorldWake Pre-Release events. The Wyndham hotel by O'Hare was closing - in about 10 days. 10 days. Umm... but we have a PTQ and a Pre-Release coming up, they can't do that! Oh, but they can.... and they did.

So - off to work we went - and the new location is posted on the site (click over to upcoming Magic events... over there on the right ----> ) Or it is probably below as well. But the information about the change are here - and we are headed to a spacious new Marriott that we have never used - right of I90 and Higgens in Hoffman Estates. They are hoping to have us there in the future, so they are looking to put a great food option out for us, the parking is free and hopefully everyone is happy!

On a positive note - have you realized that Brian Kibler is coming to Chicago from beautiful California to gunsling at the Pre-Release. Now we know what you are thinking... you can beat him, you really think you can. Well, I am betting you can't - and I am putting up boosters of WorldWake and other goodies to show my BK support. So bring your best decks... and prepare for defeat!!

Either way, you get to play a Pro Tour Champ and have a great time. The WorldWake Pre-Release has some other great things going for it - and I will be spoiling those in the weeks to come.
