Pastimes is looking to hire three people right now!! Here is what we are looking for:

Two (2) Part-time comic and/or game junkies.

To even be considered for this mediocre-paying, fun job with amazing benefits (by benefits we mean free sodas, chips, good discounts on comics and games and more fame than you can handle), you must be fun-loving, enthusiastic, hard working, helpful and self-motivated. It is going to help if you have a lot of experience with comic or games – BUT if you are a noob who is seriously motivated to helping create an amazing environment for our customers, we want to meet you!! We are not looking for the same-ol’ same-ol’ behind the collector-store counter (snore) – we are looking for folks with a friendly, can-do attitude who want to help bring their enthusiasm to our customers – both at events and in-store.

Hours for this position may vary, but will predominately be weekends (maybe some weekdays if you have them). Flexibility a plus. Please let us know how you feel about travel (sometimes we go to far off places like Indiana or Iowa… very exotic).

One (1) – Professor of Web Affairs and Random Usefulness

I know, I know – we don’t have the money to hire anyone with a Phd or anything… but we can give you a nifty title.

This position is going to start out as part-time (min 20 hours/week) and then move to full-time (we all hope) fairly quickly. Not sure if this is good or bad – we are just being up front about it!! A big part of this decision will be what YOU make of the position.

We are looking for someone to help us with our online experience. I am not totally sure what that means yet, but we know it is important and that you are going to come into this job and help us create the job description. Some basics for this are going to be: helping with our online store, ebay, forums and more. Oh, and you get to help management out with other random tasks like booking rooms for events, shipping, and generally aiding our business needs.

Requirements. We are looking for someone who is funny, friendly and self-motivated. You need to be creative, optimistic and flexible (and no, I don’t want to see you do a backbend). Experience selling on eBay, Amazon or being a forum junkie a plus but not necessary. Microsoft Office knowledge is a plus, but not necessary. If you have other skills – let us know! Being a gamer or a comic fanboy is not that necessary if you are someone who has an interest in our products and is looking to help grow our business.
