This past weekend was the final Midwest Masters Series Open. 8 more players fought their way through 7 rounds of swiss to claim an invite to the $10,000 Championship! For those hoping to make the big event, you still have one last chance! There are two Last Chance Qualifiers scheduled for GenCon on August 5th and 6th. The top 4 players at each event will get the last few invites to the big event. Congratulations to those who qualified this past weekend! For those of you who have not seen the info, there is a YGO Regionals in Indianapolis on June 12, 2010. Originally this event was to be held on June 19th, but since the addition of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series in Chicago on the 19th and 20th the Indianapolis event was moved to the 12th.

St Louis MMS Top 8 Decklists!!!

The St Louis Midwest Masters Series Open was this past weekend! Top 8 featured a diverse collection of decks, with only one Jund and one U/W making the cut. Bant saw a lot of success, with one Bant and 2 Mythic Conscription decks making Top 8. The surprise of the day was Naya Allies, which made it to Top 4 before all remaining players agreed to a split. Hello Everyone! I thought perhaps now was a good time to take stock of some of the more awesome, fun and head scratching cards that have come out of the Rise of the Eldrazi set. There have certainly been plenty of questions already from the Eldrazi pre-release and release events in April. As we prepare for the oncoming PTQ Amsterdam season (standard format) I’ll try and answer some questions about Eldrazi cards I’d expect to become staple judge calls this summer!
