Main Event

 

Grand Melee Draft - GenCon Championship Qualifier

It's one giant match, and there can only be one winner! Players will draft in a single pod, regardless of the number of players, then play in one giant multiplayer match. Grand Melee rules are in effect, so you only effect the players on either side; but when one falls another takes their place. Survive til the end for big prizes!

Registration: 11:00 p.m.

Start Time: 11:59 p.m.

Entrance fee: $18

Format: Limited - Booster Draft

Notes: Players will draft and play in a single pod.

Format Description: Main decks must contain a minimum of forty cards. There is no maximum deck size. All cards a player received but is not using in his or her main deck become that player's sideboard.

Players are not restricted to four of any one card in Limited tournament play.

Any drafted or opened cards not used in a player's Limited deck function as his or her sideboard. The sideboard may not be kept where it could be confused or switched with other cards.

Structure: Grand Melee

Structure Description: Grand Melee is a multiplayer format in which all players play in one large game at the same table. Turn markers are used so that multiple players may take turns simultaneously. Players may only attack the player directly to their left, and spells can only affect your immediate neighbors. Play continues until only one player remains.

Prizes: Earn a booster pack bounty for each player you eliminate!
The last man standing wins 1 foil sets of M13 and an invite to the 2012 GenCon Championship.
Second place wins 1 non-foil set.
Third and fourth each receive an uncut sheet.
